Product Information: Winemaker's notes: 40% Grenache, 30% Tempranillo, and 30% Syrah from Alta Mesa, Laetitia, and the Santa Barbara Highlands. Yield of 1.75 to 3 tons per acre. Aged 21 months in 60% new French and 20% new American oak barrels. Aged 9 months in the bottle. 132 cases produced. Parker Review: A new offering, the 2005 Ground Around (40% Grenache, 30% Tempranillo, and 30% Syrah) is from both the Alta Mesa and Laetitia vineyards (in the Santa Barbara Highlands and Edna Valley respectively). A dark ruby hue is accompanied by aromas of sweet cherries, loamy soil, earth, and underbrush. Abundant fruit is presented in a savory, round, generouslyendowed, interesting style. Drink it over the next 3 to 4 years.
